Do their claims hold up?

When a company makes a public claim about its impact, its products, or its values, people should be able to believe it. We check whether those claims are backed by evidence. Every finding graded. Every source cited. Every company given a fair right of reply.

Why this exists

People, planet and commerce flourish where trust is richest

Businesses exist to solve problems for people, and the better you solve them, the more you should be paid. That is how it should work. But it only works when trust is earned: when the company that did the work and the company that only claims it did can be told apart. Unsubstantiated claims are anti-competitive and anti-consumer, and there have been very few ways to check them.

Fortunately, we built one.

1

We read what companies say publicly

Websites, reports, social media, press releases, leadership communications. If they said it publicly, we found it.

2

We look for the evidence

Every claim is classified, assessed against established standards, and graded. No opinions. Evidence and standards.

3

We publish what we find

Every claim graded. Every source cited. Every company given a fair right of reply. And because most gaps are oversight, not intent, every finding names the way to close it.

What we check

Three dimensions. Three grades.

Every organisation is assessed across environmental, social, and commercial claims. Each gets its own A-F grade.

Environmental

E

When a company says it's sustainable, carbon neutral, or eco-friendly, is that backed by evidence? Or is it just words on a page?

Social

S

When a company talks about its people, its community, or its values, do the facts match the story? We check diversity, labour, and stakeholder claims.

Commercial

C

When a company makes promises about its products, pricing, or guarantees, can they back that up? We check what consumers are actually being told.

Where we start

When the stakes are highest, the standard should be too

We start with the companies whose claims have the most outsize impact on the economy, the environment, and people. Sector by sector, we're building a public record of which company claims hold up, so that trust in business is earned through evidence, not simply declared.
