What HowLegit is
HowLegit is an independent, not-for-profit initiative operating a public register of messaging integrity audits. It operates in incubation with the Twoj Startup foundation while its independent structure is established. HowLegit assesses whether organisations' public-facing claims are supported by publicly available evidence. Audits are graded A-F across Environmental, Social, and Commercial dimensions using the HowLegit E-S-C Messaging Integrity Framework.
Platform built by Optomize, HowLegit's technology partner. Optomize and HowLegit share a founder; grades answer only to evidence.
HowLegit reports are not legal compliance opinions, regulatory filings, or financial due diligence reports. They are messaging integrity diagnostics based on publicly available information. They do not constitute legal advice and should not be relied upon as such.
Dispute process
Every graded entity receives free access to their findings at app.howlegit.com. If you disagree with a finding, you may submit additional evidence for review. If the evidence warrants a change, the grade is updated and the full history is preserved.
Findings are never altered under commercial pressure. Only evidence changes a grade.

A dispute is about a grade. If your concern is about how we behaved, our independence, or how we handled your information, that is a grievance and it has its own process: see grievances.
